to produce in advance with a plan of design

Steve Pearson

I contracted Lukas to help the Woodrow Wilson Center host a major fundraising event in Louisville a couple of years ago. He did a great job for us, helping to not only raise the visibility of the Center and its mission but also to promote sponsorship and ticket-buying opportunities to business and community leaders. We had a successful event and could have not done it without his professional and determined leadership.

Results you can measure

CHALLENGE

Need to increase Annual Fund dollars, while developing plan to tell the story to a larger audience.

PLAN

Revitalize Annual Fund program with increased communications on the impact of the organization, coupled with securing a challenge gift to drive urgency for year-end giving campaign. Create opportunities for expanded Board engagement and revamping the development operations.

RESULT

By leveraging the $100,000 challenge toward a $250,000 goal, we were able to raise more than $400,000 in four months, over 150% above the targeted mark. Further, we created key stewardship opportunities for WaterStep to reengage dormant donors in a meaningful way for future asks.

CHALLENGE

Increase family, Board and alumni giving and engagement as stakeholders of the school.

PLAN

Created internal development systems to include donor database system, increased fundraising and opportunities with parent groups and families, created stewardship and fundraising education program for Board members, and expanded communications to the larger community.

RESULT

Increased fundraising in every category from the annual fund, to Give for Good Louisville and their main fundraiser event. Created communications piece to celebrate ten-year anniversary as a way to engage former alumni and the community, while emphasizing the future of the school as part of the initial major gift campaign.

CHALLENGE

The Development Department was going through a major transition. Our initial role was to perform a development audit, which evolved into AddMor leading the Development Team for nearly three years.

PLAN

Given the results of the Development Department audit, the integration of AddMor team into the Boys & Girls Haven team became paramount with three key missions: increase philanthropy, create best practices that endure and individual development.

RESULT

Increased metrics in every aspect, to include greater emphasis on planned giving, major gifts and Board engagement with prospects as the organization started looking towards a future capital campaign. Moreover, created opportunities for existing team to grow as development professionals.
